Our services

We provide GPS vehicle tracking and stolen-vehicle recovery assistance, fleet and telematics products, glass protection, speed limiters, car rental, and driver, insurance and vehicle-documentation services. The exact scope, hardware and features depend on the plan you choose, which we confirm in your quote before installation.

Quotes, payment and renewals

Quotes are based on the vehicle and plan details you give us and are confirmed before installation. Tracking and subscription products are charged as a first-year fee followed by an annual renewal fee, which applies across all vehicle categories and keeps the SIM, data, platform access and support live. Some products, such as installations and documentation services, are one-time or per-item fees as stated in your quote. If a renewal is not paid, platform access and alerts for that vehicle may be suspended until it is settled.

Installation

Installation is carried out by our technicians at your location or one of our centres. You confirm that you own the vehicle or are authorised to have the device fitted. Hidden installation is part of the service and the device location is kept confidential to protect against tampering.

Warranty

Our hardware and workmanship carry the warranty stated for that product, which is a minimum of two years on most tracking products and twelve months on speed limiter installations. The warranty covers free replacement of a defective device under normal use. It does not cover damage from accident, misuse, unauthorised tampering or third-party interference.

Recovery assistance only: no guarantee against theft

Our tracking products are a security aid and deterrent. They are not a guarantee that a vehicle will not be stolen, and they are not insurance. We provide stolen-vehicle recovery assistance to active clients and work alongside the Nigerian police, but we do not undertake to recover any vehicle and we cannot guarantee recovery in any case. Recovery depends on factors outside our control, including device tampering or removal, GPS or GSM jamming, network and power availability, how quickly the theft is reported, and the conduct of the thief and the authorities.

You acknowledge and agree that Car Tracker Nigeria is not liable for the theft, loss, hijacking, damage or non-recovery of any vehicle, asset, cargo or its contents, or for any financial or consequential loss arising from such an event. Responsibility for insuring a vehicle against theft and loss rests with you. Our service does not replace, and is not a substitute for, a motor insurance policy.

Assumption of risk and indemnity

You accept that no security or tracking system can prevent a determined thief, and you use our products on that basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Car Tracker Nigeria, the Cander & Zanna Group, Impactcentric Techniks and their directors, employees, technicians and partners from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with: the theft, hijacking, loss or damage of your vehicle, asset, cargo or its contents; your breach of these terms; your misuse of the device or platform; your failure to keep your plan or renewal current; or any use of our products to monitor a person or vehicle without lawful authority.

Your responsibilities

You agree to give accurate information, to keep your account and renewal current, to use the platform and devices lawfully, and not to use our services to track a person or vehicle without proper authority. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

Limitation of liability

We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Car Tracker Nigeria is not liable for: the theft, hijacking, loss or non-recovery of a vehicle, asset or cargo; any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss; loss of profit, business, data or goodwill; or any loss arising from events outside our reasonable control or from the acts of third parties such as thieves, network operators or power providers. Where we are found liable despite the above, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims is limited to the total fees you paid us for the affected service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for any failure or delay in providing the service that is caused by events outside our reasonable control, including GPS or GSM signal loss or deliberate jamming, mobile-network or internet outages, power failures, equipment tampering or removal, theft, fire, flood, civil unrest, industrial action, or the acts or omissions of third parties and public authorities.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
